Here’s a quick FAQ on what we’re all about:

What is Willow PAFA?

Willow PAFA is a 501(c)(3) organization that helps support the students and staff at Willow Elementary. We are an entirely volunteer based organization comprised of parents and guardians of Willow students TK-5 and Willow staff personnel who are passionate about creating the best environment for our students and supporting the school, students, and staff.

What is the commitment to be a member?

There is no commitment upon signing up. Different volunteer opportunities will pop up throughout the year and you can be as involved as you would like or based on what your schedule allows. Willow PAFA typically meets once a month, either in-person or virtually and these meetings are the best way to keep updated on what is going on and learn about opportunities to help.

What are some of the things that Willow PAFA supports?

Willow PAFA is tasked with raising $150,000 per year to supporting our artist partners, teachers and staff, provide needed learning tools, and ensure all students are able to participate in all of Willow’s activities. These funds are raised through our FUNdraising efforts such as Willow Business Sponsorships, Jog-a-thon, Read-A-Thon, Bottlerock Raffle, Online Auction, and other events throughout the year.

Anything else I should know?

Willow PAFA is free to join and all we ask in return is for your vote for our Board of Directors once a year!

After that, we encourage you to take advantage of other volunteer opportunities as your time/schedule permits. Being a member of Willow PAFA is a great way to be involved in your child’s school experience, know what is going on and when. There are tons of ways to support; we understand everyone has different bandwidths and our goal is to work together so simply signing up for membership will keep you in the loop.
